  • Leap OS is Leapmotor's proprietary operating system, designed to manage every digital interaction inside your vehicle. Powered by advanced Qualcomm chipsets, it acts as the car’s central “brain,” transforming complex automotive technology into an intuitive and immersive driving experience.
  • Over-the-Air (OTA) technology in Leapmotor vehicles is an innovative system that continuously improves your car through software and firmware updates delivered directly via the internet. This lets your vehicle stay up to date with the latest features, performance improvements and safety updates, without any physical intervention.
  • The Leapmotor App is your all-in-one digital companion. It lets you monitor your vehicle, manage key functions remotely, and easily plan every drive from your smartphone. Key capabilities include using your phone as a Secure Digital key to unlock and start the car via Bluetooth, managing remote climate and charging, and securely sharing temporary digital keys with family or friends.
  • Leapmotor ADAS³ technologies support you in everyday driving. These systems continuously monitor the road, nearby vehicles and your driving behaviour to help prevent risks, reduce stress and improve overall driving comfort.
  • Leapmotor ADAS³ includes a comprehensive suite of safety features designed to assist you step by step. Key technologies include:
    1. Awareness alerts:Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
    2. Lane support:Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA).
    3. Collision prevention:Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) and Front/Rear Collision Warnings (FCW/RCW).
    4. Traffic assistance:Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Traffic Jam Assist (TJA).
  • Yes, the app features full remote control, so you can easily manage your vehicle's charging schedules from anywhere. This helps make sure your car is always charged and ready when you are.
  • Leapmotor vehicles offer advanced technology features including large touchscreen infotainment systems, digital driver displays, smartphone connectivity, voice control and Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates. Depending on the model, drivers can also benefit from advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)³ such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection and Automatic Emergency Braking. Selected models also include connected app services, wireless charging, ambient lighting and immersive audio systems.
  • You can set the ideal cabin temperature remotely from your phone, before you even leave the house. The app also features a "One-Button Preparation" tool that synchronises your preferred climate, comfort settings and navigation in advance, so everything is ready when you step into the car.
  • No. Leapmotor ADAS³ follows a “man-machine co-driving” philosophy. The systems support the driver, but control always remains with you. While features such as Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) can move the vehicle in slow traffic, these technologies provide intelligent driving assistance, not full autonomous driving.
  • Yes. The app gives you Real-Time Insights through a single, intuitive dashboard. From there, you can instantly monitor your battery range, check overall vehicle health, and see your car's live location.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) helps you in traffic by automatically keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. It helps manage speed and distance on highways, reducing your effort on long drives.
  • Connecting your car only takes a few simple steps:
    1. Download: install the Leapmotor App from the App Store or Google Play.
    2. Register:create an account using the email address provided when you purchased your vehicle and complete verification.
    3. Bind: in your car, go to System > Security > Owner identification.
    4. Scan: use the app to scan the QR code shown on the vehicle screen to securely connect your car and activate all features.
  • These systems help keep your vehicle safely within its lane. Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) gently corrects steering if the car begins to drift out of the lane, while Lane Centering Control (LCC) actively helps keep the vehicle centred between lane markings while driving.
  • Yes. Leapmotor ADAS³ includes active safety systems designed to reduce collision risks. Front and Rear Collision Warnings (FCW/RCW) alert you to potential impacts, while Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) can automatically apply the brakes if a collision is imminent. When reversing, Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) can also stop the vehicle if a danger is detected.
  • For the best security, performance and access to the latest features, we recommend keeping your apps updated via the App Store® or Google Play™. Core features, including Remote Control, Real-Time Insights and Secure Digital Key™, are available immediately once you download the app and connect your vehicle.
  • Driver monitoring systems help make sure you stay attentive while driving. Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning (DDAW) detects fatigue and distraction, while Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW) alerts you if your attention drops. Also, Hands Off Detection (HOD) checks that your hands stay on the steering wheel.
  • Yes. The app helps you drive smarter through its dedicated Travel section, where you can track energy consumption, view recent trips, and analyse efficiency trends. You can also use One-Button Preparation to sync your navigation settings ahead of time.
  • Yes. The app is designed to be the digital companion for Leapmotor owners. To access its features, simply register using the email you used when purchasing your vehicle and connect the app to your car by scanning the unique QR code available in the vehicle’s system settings.
  • ADAS³ systems activate only when relevant conditions are detected. They assist you without interrupting your control, helping keep your drive smooth and natural.

  • Leapmotor integrates smart connectivity through connected infotainment systems, smartphone app control, voice commands and OTA updates that continuously improve the vehicle over time. Depending on the model, features may also include Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, remote access and connected navigation services.

  • Leapmotor's OTA technology improves your vehicle remotely and automatically by delivering upgrades straight to your car. These updates include:
    - New features and refined user interfaces.
    - Security patches and critical bug fixes.
    - Driver-assistance system upgrades.
    - Performance optimisations to fine-tune efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Yes. All Leapmotor vehicles support Over-the-Air (OTA) updates to continuously improve your driving experience and ensure your vehicle evolves over time with the latest software enhancements.
  • To check your current LeapOS version, go to Settings > System > General, where you’ll find the latest software version installed on your vehicle.
    When a new update is available, a cloud icon will appear in the top bar of the screen, inviting you to download it. Once the download is complete, simply park the vehicle and start the installation process. Your Leapmotor will automatically install the update and restart when finished
  • Leapmotor vehicles offer access to apps such as Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, Deezer and Amazon Music. These features enhance the onboard entertainment experience and help keep every journey connected and enjoyable.
  • No. OTA updates are downloaded and installed remotely, directly on your vehicle, so there's no need to visit a dealership. That makes the process simple, convenient and time-saving.
  • Leapmotor vehicles are designed as software-driven vehicles, with the digital ecosystem at the heart of the driving experience. This approach has allowed Leapmotor to create a seamless, intuitive digital environment from the very beginning.
  • Once an update has been downloaded via the cloud icon on your screen, installation can start whenever you choose, while the vehicle is safely parked. This helps ensure the update is completed smoothly and with minimal disruption to your daily routine.
  • Yes. You’re always in control of when to install updates. The system will let you know when a new update is available, and you can choose the most convenient time to go ahead. Keeping your vehicle updated is recommended to help ensure the best driving experience and access to the latest improvements.
  • Yes. All Leapmotor models are connected to a dedicated Leapmotor App⁴ that lets you manage key vehicle functions remotely, including climate control and digital key access. The app also enables selected sharing features, making it easier to share vehicle access with family or friends.

  • Built around real user habits, Leap OS™ features a clean, intuitive interface designed for effortless operation. Popular apps including Spotify™, Amazon Music™, Deezer®, and TikTok™ are integrated directly into the infotainment system, enabling high-quality media streaming and enhancing the in-car entertainment experience, with no cables or smartphone connection required.

  • Yes. Leap OS lets you personalise your vehicle settings just like on a smartphone. Dynamic home screen cards and widgets can be arranged as you like, while customisable “Quick Control” screens provide instant access to your most-used functions.

  • Absolutely, it's available on LEAP OS 4.0, or later. Smart cards organise information clearly, allowing you to switch between full-screen and split-screen modes with a single tap. You can comfortably operate two apps at once, for example, keeping your browser open while browsing music tracks.
  • Leap OS is built on a flexible software framework that supports new functions, layout tweaks and visual upgrades over time. Updates are delivered seamlessly Over-the-Air (OTA) via Wi-Fi or a mobile network, so your vehicle keeps evolving without a trip to the dealership.
  • Yes. Leap OS integrates fully with the Leapmotor mobile app, enabling remote vehicle control. You can schedule climate control, monitor battery and charging, locate your car, and even use your phone as a digital NFC key.
  • Unlike traditional infotainment, which can quickly feel outdated, Leap OS is a dynamic ecosystem that keeps evolving. Powered by Qualcomm processors and a flexible framework, it offers smartphone-level responsiveness, deep personalisation and the ability to run demanding media and video apps natively. All without needing a phone connected by cable.
  • Yes, both. Leap OS combines intuitive touchscreen gestures with a natural dual-zone voice command system (activated by “Hello, Leapmotor”), letting driver and passengers control climate, navigation and media completely hands-free while staying focused on the road.
  • Once your monthly 2GB data allowance has been used, your connected driving experience stays the same.

    - Connected Navigation continues to work as normal.
    - The Leapmotor App and all remote vehicle control functions remain fully accessible.
    - Connected vehicle services continue to operate as usual.

    Only entertainment services are affected. Music and video streaming will keep working, but at a reduced speed and with a potentially degraded experience.

    To keep enjoying full-speed entertainment services, simply connect your vehicle to your smartphone’s hotspot and use your mobile data plan.

³This system is a driver's convenience system, not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use the brakes to avoid collisions.
