Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Our ADAS technologies work alongside you, helping you handle everyday driving with confidence.

What do ADAS do?

Our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems monitor the road, surrounding vehicles and your driving behaviour to prevent risks, reduce stress and improve driving comfort.

Intelligent driving support

Our systems help manage speed, distance and steering in traffic and on motorways, reducing effort on long drives.

Active safety interventions

ADAS actively intervene when a risk is detected, helping to avoid or reduce the impact of potential collisions.

Awareness of surroundings

Technology monitors areas you can’t always see, alerting you to approaching vehicles and hidden hazards.

Driver monitoring

To help ensure you stay focused, alert and in control while driving. Your safety comes first.

ADAS Co-driving
ADAS systems activate only in relevant situations, assisting without interrupting. So driving feels natural.
Leapmotor ADAS
Leapmotor ADAS follow a co-driving philosophy: the car supports, you decide. The driver is always in control.
Lane Departure Warning (LDW): warns before unintentional lane departure.
Blind Spot Detection (BSD): monitors blind spots and alerts.
Doors Open Warning (DOW): warns before unsafe door opening.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): alerts to cross traffic when reversing.
Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning (DDAW): detects fatigue and distraction.
Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW): warns if the driver is distracted.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): corrects steering to prevent lane departure.
Lane Cantering Control (LCC): keeps the car cantered in the lane.
Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA): steers back to lane in emergencies.
Hands Off Detection (HOD): detects hands off the wheel.
Front Collision Warning (FCW):warns of a frontal collision risk.
Rear Collision Warning (RCW):warns of a rear collision risk.
Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB):automatically brakes to help prevent a collision.
Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB):brakes when reversing if danger is detected.
Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA):helps you stay within speed limits.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): automatically keeps a safe distance.
Traffic Jam Assist (TJA): moves the car by itself in traffic jams.

Questions you may have

  • Leapmotor ADAS includes a comprehensive suite of safety features designed to assist you step by step. Key technologies include:
    1. Awareness alerts: Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
    2. Lane support: Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA).
    3. Collision prevention: Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) and Front/Rear Collision Warnings (FCW/RCW).
    4. Traffic assistance: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Traffic Jam Assist (TJA).
  • Yes. Leapmotor ADAS includes active safety systems designed to reduce collision risks. Front and Rear Collision Warnings (FCW/RCW) alert you to potential impacts, while Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) can automatically apply the brakes if a collision is imminent. When reversing, Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) can also stop the vehicle if a danger is detected.
  • ADAS systems activate only when relevant conditions are detected. They assist you without interrupting your control, ensuring that your driving experience always feels smooth and natural.
  • These systems help keep your vehicle safely within its lane. Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) gently corrects steering if the car begins to drift out of the lane, while Lane Centering Control (LCC) actively helps keep the vehicle centred between lane markings during driving.
  • Driver monitoring systems help ensure that you remain attentive while driving. Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning (DDAW) detects fatigue and distraction, while Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW) alerts you if your attention drops. Also, Hands Off Detection (HOD) checks that your hands remain on the steering wheel.
  • Leapmotor ADAS technologies support you during everyday driving. These systems continuously monitor the road, nearby vehicles and your driving behaviour to help prevent risks, reduce stress and improve overall driving comfort.
  • No. Leapmotor ADAS follows a “co-driving” philosophy. The systems support the driver, but control always remains with you. While features such as Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) can move the vehicle in slow traffic, these technologies provide intelligent driving assistance, not full autonomous driving.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) assists you in traffic by automatically keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of you. It helps manage speed and distance on highways, significantly reducing your effort during long drives. To activate, push the gear selector down once in drive, and control the speed on the steering wheel.
